Cosmetic Establishment Registration and Listing Services
The US FDA requires every person that owns or operates a facility that “engages in the manufacturing or processing of a cosmetic product for distribution in the United States” to register each facility with FDA. For any foreign facility, a US agent is required for registration purposes.
As mandated by the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA), effective July 1, 2024, all cosmetic product facilities must register with the FDA. AJW Technology Consultants is here to guide you through the registration and listing process to ensure compliance.
US Agent Services for Cosmetic Establishments
All foreign establishments that manufacturer, package, or distribute a cosmetic product whose name appears on the label of such cosmetic product, require a US responsible person, or agent. AJW Tech can serve in this capacity as the US agent:
- Responding to questions concerning those cosmetics that are imported or offered for import to the US
- Assisting the FDA in scheduling inspections
- If FDA is unable to contact a foreign registrant directly or expeditiously, FDA may provide the information and/or documents to the United States agent. FDA’s providing information and/or documents to the United States agent is equivalent to providing the same information and/or documents to the foreign registrant.
Official Services for Cosmetic Product Listing
The US FDA mandates that all cosmetic product facilities involved in manufacturing, repacking, or relabeling for the US market must be registered, and all cosmetic products must be listed under the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA) effective July 1, 2024.
Each cosmetic product listing must include detailed information such as facility registration numbers, product ingredients, and responsible person contact details.
